Edgerunners Characters Take The Stage In New Trailer and Visual

A new Cyberpunk: Edgerunners trailer and visual have been released, with both highlighting the upcoming anime’s cast of characters.

As revealed by the frenetically edited trailer (which is dubbed the “Studio Trigger Version“) the two leads, who were the main focus of an earlier visual, are named David and Lucy. The other highlighted characters are Maine, Dorio, Kiwi, Pilar, and Rebecca.

The trailer also reveals David’s past, with his mother wanting him to become a high-ranking employee of the Arasaka Corporation before an attack that looks like results in her death. Additionally, David and Lucy’s bond is teased with several cuts near the end, as well as a line where David tells Lucy that he will take her to the moon.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will premiere in September on Netflix. The 10 episode series is “about a street kid trying to survive in Night City — a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he stays alive by becoming an edgerunner — a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.”
