Honor of Kings Ready for Global Release, What’s the Fate of AoV?

Infinite Level will soon bring MOBA Honor of Kings, Tencent’s popular game, globally. The studio announced this good news yesterday (8/6), via its Twitter account. According to the information, they are also planning to hold a closed beta test at some point in 2022.

Level Infinite said it will announce the date beta test this starts in July, without the slightest leak about the exact date. However, it shouldn’t be that long. So, those of you who are interested in participating, make sure not to miss the announcement and don’t forget to register.

As mentioned at the beginning of the article, Honor of Kings itself is games MOBA. It has a gameplay style similar to its predecessor titles such as League of Legends and DOTA 2. Or maybe you are more familiar with the game mobilewhich you can find in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang or LoL: Wild Rift.

Honor of Kings is essentially the basis of games Arena of Valor, games MOBA western Tencent which was released in October 2016. It’s just that, because it was released earlier, Honor of Kings more popular (especially in Asia). In November 2020, games it has reached milestones more than 100 million active players every day.

It was the success of Honor of Kings that actually made room for AoV to attract market interest western. Back in its global release, this version unfortunately doesn’t have a definite release date yet. However, according to the plan, Honor of Kings Global will release in 2022.

Level Infinite said that they plan to release the global version by the end of 2022. Which means it could be between October and the end of December. MOBA fans outside Asia can start to experience Honor of Kings for the first time through closed beta test which will be announced in the near future.

Tencent plans to release Honor of Kings globally once again prove the company’s dominance in the industry mobile games. It is interesting to remember that this company was before struggling to make MOBA games the original a few years ago. Now, they are ready to join the battle in the global market with games homemade.

Of course, this news has caused a lot of talk regarding Tencent’s plans for Arena of Valorwhich is the western version of Honor of Kings outside China. Now, players are waiting for the developer to give a statement regarding the future Arena of Valor this.
