Returning Players in Old Guard 2!

The Old Guard is a Netflix flagship film that is very popular with fans of superhero shows. The film which premiered in 2020 is listed as one of the original Netflix films that has a very large number of viewers. With this success, it makes sense that Netflix will finally give the green light for its sequel, entitled The Old Guard 2.

The film franchise, which adapts the comic of the same name by Greg Rucka, focuses on the character Andy aka Andromache of Scythia. He is the leader of a group of immortal mercenaries whose members each have the ability to regenerate. With a script that was completed in 2021, the film The Old Guard 2 itself seems to have just started its production. The latest tweet from Charlize Theron, who plays Andy’s character, has indirectly confirmed who the returning cast will be in the sequel. Along with Theron, around him were actors KiKi Layne, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Harry Melling, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. In another photo, they are also seen posing with director Victoria Mahoney and new actor Henry Golding.

Although not seen in this latest photo, there are actually several other veteran actors who will definitely be involved in the film The Old Guard 2. They are Matthias Schoenaerts and Veronica Ngo, who Netflix has confirmed will return in the sequel. Also, Uma Thurman, who recently announced Netflix together with Golding. The reason why they haven’t appeared on the set may be because it’s not yet time for these actors to get involved.

While the veteran characters will reprise their roles as old characters, it is not yet revealed who Golding and Thurman will play. Although there are rumors that they will play opposite Andy in the sequel, but the truth may only be known when the film is out.
