Become a Tatooine Protector

Not much story Star Wars which chronicles the life of Obi-Wan in between his solo series and trilogy Star Wars. Even so, there is a canon comic from LINE Webtoon that once mentioned the existence of this legendary Jedi Knight. The comic itself takes place about two years after the events Obi Wan Kenobi, where Luke is only 12 years old. The comic story begins when Luke and his best friend Windy are trapped in the desert of Tatooine, where a moment later a Krayt Dragon attacks them. Luckily, Obi-Wan arrived just in time and saved them.

Obi-Wan then returns the teenage Luke and Windy to Owen. At the same time saying that Luke has a very strong Force power and one day he will leave his plantation. This dialogue is the same as the scene in the series Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 1, where Owen asks Obi-Wan to stay away from Luke. After the comic, Obi-Wan also briefly reappeared in the short story Star Wars: Life Day Treasury, precisely in the story entitled ‘An Old Hope’. In this story, the slightly older Obi-Wan is said to have saved the LA-R1 droid from the Javanese.

LA-R1 thought Obi-Wan was a Santa Claus-like figure, then called him ‘The Oil Bringer‘. Although the story is not as significant as the previous LINE Webtoon comics, but it’s a short story Star Wars: Life Day Treasury this has changed the way he views droids. Where this incident took place before he was reunited with his best friend, the droid R2-D2, in the trilogy Star Wars. At this point it’s pretty clear that for the decade prior to the original trilogy, Obi-Wan still spent most of his time on Planet Tatooine as a Jedi protecting almost everyone else.

Fight Back With Darth Maul

Apart from appearing in comics, Obi-Wan himself has played an important role in the animated series Star Wars Rebels. In season 2 which takes place about four years after his solo seriesObi-Wan reunited with his old enemy, Darth Maul. This story begins when Maul uses the Sith Holocron to find Obi-Wan who has split his body in the movie Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. In this iconic reunion, Maul realizes that in his exile, Obi-Wan is still focused on protecting Luke.

Sensing that Maul could harm Luke, Obi-Wan inevitably has to stop the former Darth. After going through a pretty fierce battle, Obi-Wan finally managed to slash Maul’s body for the last time. At the same time, Obi-Wan realizes that the current Maul really wants to destroy the Sith as well. Towards his death, Maul said that Luke would avenge them both, before finally dying in Obi-Wan’s lap. This epic duel is Obi-Wan’s final saga before it reappears in the trilogy Star Wars.

That’s a discussion of where and what Obi-Wan did after his solo series ended. Before finally appearing in the original trilogy Star Wars, it turns out that Obi-Wan is still focused on his main goal, which is protecting Luke. In addition, he also spent a lot of time on Planet Tatooine, including solving Maul’s grudge with a fairly unique ending. Until finally Luke himself became more mature and finally managed to become a ‘The Chosen One‘ by his own efforts.
