Xiaomi was previously said to be releasing the Xiaomi 12 Ultra soon. But recently, Xiaomi finally officially launched the latest series teaser, namely the Xiaomi 12S Series. The Xiaomi 12S series is predicted to be present in three variants. Xiaomi 12S, 12 Pro and 12S Ultra.
In this latest teaser, Xiaomi is touting the latest flagship sensor from Sony, namely the IMX 989. This sensor itself has not been officially announced by Sony, and this smartphone from Xiaomi seems to be the first to use it.

This is a 1-inch type sensor, like the Exmor RS sensor used on the Sony Xperia Pro-I. The difference is, this is a smartphone-specific sensor, while the sensor used in the Xperia Pro-I is a mirrorless camera sensor installed on a smartphone.
Unfortunately Xiaomi does not provide any details regarding the sensor and how it will be capable of later. But this possibility will be used on the highest model. While for other lower models, Xiaomi will also use the Sony IMX 707 sensor.
But Xiaomi announced through its teaser that the camera technology in the Xiaomi 12S Series will be supported by Leica, which recently announced a partnership with Xiaomi.
The Xiaomi 12S series is predicted to have a 120Hz screen, SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 1/Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. There is no information on the launch date of this device yet.
